Here we come

Here we come
Infants overblown
Poised between two civilizations
Finding the balance irksome
Itching for something to happen
To tip us one way or the other
Groping in the dark for a helping hand
And finding none
I'm tired oh my God
I'm tired
I'm tired of hanging in the middle way
But where can I go.

THE GLORY OF THE GARDEN

The Glory of the Garden

Our England is a garden that is full of stately views,
Of borders, beds and shrubberies and lawns and avenues,
With statues on the terraces and peacocks strutting by;
But the Glory of the Garden lies in more than meets the eye.
For where the old thick laurels grow, along the thin red wall,
You will find the tool- and potting-sheds which are the heart of all ;
The cold-frames and the hot-houses, the dungpits and the tanks:
The rollers, carts and drain-pipes, with the barrows and the planks.
And there you'll see the gardeners, the men and 'prentice boys
Told off to do as they are bid and do it without noise;
For, except when seeds are planted and we shout to scare the birds,
The Glory of the Garden it abideth not in words.
And some can pot begonias and some can bud a rose,
And some are hardly fit to trust with anything that grows;
But they can roll and trim the lawns and sift the sand and loam,
For the Glory of the Garden occupieth all who come.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing:--"Oh, how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel-paths with broken dinner-knives
There's not a pair of legs so thin, there's not a head so thick,
There's not a hand so weak and white, nor yet a heart so sick.
But it can find some needful job that's crying to be done,
For the Glory of the Garden glorifieth every one.
Then seek your job with thankfulness and work till further orders,
If it's only netting strawberries or killing slugs on borders;
And when your back stops aching and your hands begin to harden,
You will find yourself a partner in the Glory of the Garden.
Oh, Adam was a gardener, and God who made him sees
That half a proper gardener's work is done upon his knees,
So when your work is finished, you can wash your hand and pray
For the Glory of the Garden, that it may not pass away!
And the Glory of the Garden it shall never pass away!

DO YOU WANT A FRIEND

DO YOU WANT A FRIEND

So you want a friend
They can betray
And you want a lover
They are not trustworthy
And you want a brother
They'll be tempted against you
You want a sister
A friend's better sometimes
And you need parents
They already have too much on them
You want a companion
Beware!They want something

And still

Why walk or go alone
You need someone besides God

You know what

Take them as they are
Accept their disappointments
Show them the love you ought to
It'll make you feel better
But all in all
Do not tempt yourself with them
Believe in HIM------------God
And you'll be happy.

YOUR INNER VOICE

YOUR INNER VOICE

I now realise
T' was the real beginning of life
When He told me
Whatever you do
The consequences depends totally on you
Your success always depends on you
No one to blame
No , not your parents
He told me
The way is-
Be yourself
Listen to the inner voice
And act by his directions

TO OUR LOVED ONE LOCKED IN THE SOIL

TO OUR LOVED ONE LOCKED IN THE SOIL

May her soul rest in perfect peace
May God grant her life eternal
May we meet again in heaven never to part no more
May God receive her soul
May God forgive her sins
May God forget her bad deeds
May God remember her good deeds

May God mother her children
May God marry her husband
May God whisper words of kindness to the family
May God preserve the life of the rest
May God come in to the midst of the family
May we all remember our ends
May we live righteously and peaceably
May we remember HIS words
May we prepare for lifeafter now
May we do good to someone today
May we die old mand happy

THE SONG OF A POOR DOG

THE SONG OF A POOR DOG

My duty is being a pet
And not to have regret
God created me on earth
And man made me a pet
But now I fret
I'm nearer to death
I've never seen a vet
This is a net
A trap to death

Why has man forget
Every pet is an asset
You always have to pet
And keep within the reach of the vet
'cause without a vet
Our life is a threat
IF I'll ever be your pet
What about my health

WISDOM

WISDOM

Wisdom crieth out loud
at the street corner
Let him that heareth heed his voice
I speak all the time
But you're too busy to hear
Everyone smothers even my low tone
No one listens to the guiding whispers
You just seem to always ignore
I keep trying and talking
But I'm not suppose to speak too loud
And I can't act by myself
I am heaven sent
God-given guidiance for everyone
But you hardly recognise my voice
You're often clouded in your selfishness
Lost in the canality of reasoning
Everyone goes astray
Forgetting man's instinct differs from the animals'
Still, animals' instinct keep 'em from working for food
And also save them from many dangers
Well, I'm always there
The more you listen , the more I say
I guide with the vision of tomorrow
You can not see me or touch me
You can only hear my soft gentle voice
Coming right from inside you
That's where HE has put me
So you just listen
